Policy Committees

CEED@Chicago is moving forward on policy-change initiatives identified by the Coalition: increasing health literacy through community health workers, and increasing equitable distribution of healthy food. Legacy Projects

On February 17th, CEED@Chicago announced the winners of Legacy Project grants.

Frida Kahlo Community Organization, Latino Organization of the Southwest, and Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center were each awarded Legacy funding. With the help of CEED@Chicago, these community based organizations will implement projects that will have a positive effect on their community's health and help reduce the burden of diabetes and cardiovascular disease among the African American and Hispanic/Latino populations in Chicago.
